Yes. Connecting, converting, and reviewing your campaigns is free, with no credit card. We set up a free workspace for you on first sign-in. The only money involved is your own ChatGPT Ads budget, which you control in your own account and spend only after you approve and launch a campaign. The full AI-Advisors platform is a separate, optional upgrade.
#Do I need to connect my Google Ads account?
Yes. You sign in with Google and grant read-only access to Google Ads so the tool can pull your live Search campaigns. Read-only means it can see your campaigns but can never edit, pause, or spend on your Google Ads. You can switch Google accounts or disconnect at any time.
#Do I need a ChatGPT Ads account to use this?
You can connect Google Ads, convert your campaigns, and review the results without one. To actually create the ads, you need an approved ChatGPT Ads advertiser account, because the campaigns are created in your account using your own ChatGPT Ads advertiser key, which you generate in your Ads Manager settings at ads.openai.com.
#Does it launch ads or spend my money automatically?
No. Every converted campaign is created paused in your own ChatGPT Ads account. Nothing serves and nothing spends until you review it and turn it on yourself. The tool never launches ads on your behalf.
#What are the 5 Context Hint Patterns?
ChatGPT Ads target intent, not keywords, so each keyword is converted into a context hint that fits one of five patterns: Persona + Intent, Question, Topic + Disqualifier, Outcome-Seeking, and Stack Comparison. The tool classifies each keyword into the pattern that fits, then writes copy whose register matches that pattern. The five patterns are documented in our guide on writing ChatGPT ads.
#Do I need a minimum budget to run ChatGPT Ads?
No. OpenAI removed the minimum spend entirely on May 5, 2026, when the self-serve Ads Manager opened to every US advertiser. Any budget can now run campaigns. The tool maps a sensible budget onto each converted campaign at the platform's $3 to $5 cost-per-click range, which you can adjust before you create anything.
#Will OpenAI be able to crawl my landing page when I run ChatGPT Ads?
OpenAI uses a dedicated crawler, OAI-AdsBot, to validate the safety and policy compliance of every ad's landing page. If your bot protection (Cloudflare, Akamai, or a fraud-prevention WAF) blocks the user-agent OAI-AdsBot/1.0, ad validation fails and your campaigns will not run. Allowlist OAI-AdsBot before you submit ads. Our AI Bot Access Checker can confirm whether your site lets the OpenAI crawlers through.
#How accurate is the conversion?
The conversion captures the intent and scenario behind each keyword rather than the surface phrase, so for specific B2B or considered-purchase campaigns the mapping is strong. For broad transactional or local-intent keywords, it is honest about the limits. You review and edit every converted ad before anything is created, so the model never has the final say.
#What happens to my data?
Your campaign details are sent to an OpenAI model to produce the conversion. Your Google Ads access stays read-only, your ChatGPT Ads advertiser key is held only for your session to create the ads you approve and is never shared, and we never sell your data. You stay in control of every campaign that gets created.
#Will this work for Microsoft Ads or Bing Ads campaigns?
Not yet. This tool is purpose-built to convert Google Search Ads into ChatGPT Ads. A Microsoft Ads variant is on our roadmap, but it is not live yet.
